Hello, QuestWorlds!

Tomorrow, February 13th, Chaosium officially releases QuestWorlds! While the SRD has been available for two years under the ORC license, this marks the arrival of the fully fleshed-out rulebook – a polished, complete version of one of my all-time favorite RPG systems.

For those unfamiliar, QuestWorlds is the next evolution of a lineage that started with Hero Wars, became HeroQuest, and later HeroQuest Glorantha. It’s a fast, flexible system that makes it easy to adapt any novel, movie, or setting into a playable RPG. With its masteries mechanic handling power levels smoothly and keywords simplifying character creation, it’s a fantastic toolbox for narrative-driven games.

This blog, Playtesting.org, is a bit of a rebirth. Years ago, I wrote about HeroQuest, and now, with QuestWorlds officially out, it’s time to dive back in. While I’ll be producing a lot of QuestWorlds content – including updates to material I’ve written in the past – this blog won’t be limited to a single game. Expect thoughts, play reports, and homebrew content for various RPGs.

I’m beyond excited – who else is hyped for the release? Stay tuned for more!
