100 Pages and Counting – Perseverance in Genre Pack Format!

It’s happening.

After months of worldbuilding, character crafting, system tweaks, and hard-won design decisions, the core content of Perseverance is finally complete. That doesn’t mean it’s finished (this is an RPG after all – there’s always more to explore), but it does mean that the heart of the Genre Pack is there: the planet, the factions, the keywords, the rules tweaks, the GM advice, and a lot of flavor text soaked in grit and dust.

So what’s next?

I’m a developer. Which means when I say “I’m laying out the Genre Pack,” what I actually mean is: I’m breaking it into a set of Markdown files and wiring up a script to turn them into a big HTML document. Then I convert that to PDF. Because of course I am.

It’ll be an A5-format PDF, just like the official QuestWorlds Core Rulebook. Clean, compact, easy to print or load on a tablet at the table. And honestly? It’s coming together beautifully.

Want proof? Here’s a peek at one of the internal pages:

A sand storm in Perseverance desert is almost a death sentence

“This planet doesn’t just challenge you. It hunts you.”
— Ranger Eliza Voss, Commonwealth Frontier Service

That’s from Chapter 3: Hazards of Perseverance – Environmental Dangers. With just the first three chapters, we’re already pushing past the 100-page mark. And there’s still more to include.

Thanks for following along with this slow-burn development. If you’re enjoying it – or if you’re using any of this in your own QuestWorlds games – drop me a line. More updates (and probably more Markdown-to-PDF pipeline tweaks) soon.

Stay dusty.
